The Back Country #2

It's so very interesting how you can't get things done the way you are used to out in the Back Country. I am noticing some interesting things and trying to find humor in it all. I'm trying no to have it make me crazy. I will survive. I'm not sure about anyone else though.
Figured out the well thing. Twas the wrong switch. Okay, easy enough. Still....argh.
The mailman actually delivers mail to this half living mailbox. Funny stuff. I'll have to take a picture of it so you can laugh along with me. At least I'm laughing, right?
It seems that at some point a skunk was in the area of my garage. Joy. At least he's still not there. His presence remains however. I thought at first it could be he may have been living in or around the farm trailer that now sits in the garage bay beside me. It's not. It's on my side. Blah.
A farm trailer in the garage. A farm truck pulled down to the barn. Some other farm equipment pulled out into the back field. How much work does a tree farm need anyway? Planting, trimming, cutting...right? What's up with that? It's all very old and cool feeling though. Cant wait to get shots of it all. At least I still find it interesting. Remind me of that when it's making me nuts. You know it will. Eventually. In some way.
Ladybugs. Everywhere. It's for the farm for sure but still they are Everywhere. Could be worse and I'm going with that. Ladybugs aren't so bad. The cats will enjoy that. Once I go through the pain and suffering to get the cats there. Sooooo not looking forward to that part of the journey.
The phone doesnt work. There is no Network Interface box to check the line. ???? Oh my. This too shall be figured out but, it doesn't leave me with warm and fuzzy feelings, just more concerns. Maybe it's just hiding somewhere?Yeah, sure do you want to take bets on that one? ATT is more than happy to send a tech out to check it since they cant figure out from the office if its internal or external. Yeah but umm, I'm going to need to be there people. I'm not completely stupid, there is no box on the outside. Hello. Counting to 10 has worked wonders recently.
The dang weather people can't make up their minds if there will be snow this weekend or not. I sooo cant move in the snow. There's really just no way I could do that to anyone. What would my chances be of deciding to move next weekend and having it not snow then too? Slim.
I got the camera. I will not have to wait for all my film to be sent out and returned. Yeah! I will still however shoot with film. The 20D is very nice though. Wish I had more time to play with it. Now I just have to figure it out, find some jobs and pay for it. lol.
The fun part of the ride lately I've got to share. It's silly but thats fun too. Counting the cars on the road from the exit to the house. Last weekend it was almost 15. Busy Busy Busy. hahahaha. Usually its 2 or 3. Entertainment of the city folks. Simple stuff.
Cars at the house. Now, that was interesting. Hearing someone drive up the road and up the driveway and to the garage. It's not like it's a neighbor. Or someone who's lost. I know it's for the house. And the whole time I was thinking, hummm...wonder who that could be. That's different. I'm guessing the days of the booming stereo from the neighbors car at 215 am that shakes the pictures on the wall are over. The beeping horns at all hours is not going to happen either. People driving by and seeing me sitting in the yard or gardening or whatever will not be an all day affair. Odd really. I'm thinking that part of it I will certainly enjoy.
No trains either. And let me tell ya for some reason the trains are louder lately. I dont understand that but, they are. No planes like here either. I could really get used to not hearing them. Whatever it is those jets do right above me is really irritating sometimes. Especially to other people who aren't used to it. Freaks some people out actually. Okay, so I'll miss freaking people out with stuff like that. I have a feeling I will have new and more interesting things to share though so, thats good.
Getting used to the CT package store thing again. No Sundays, No Holidays, close at 8pm. I must count myself lucky though, there are two within a few miles. I'll figure it out. Eventually.
No take out. Okay, the restaurant in the next town over has take out but you know, no delivery. So, no Thai or pizza at anytime of the day or evening at my call delivered with a smile to my door. Certainly no Brazilian. That's very very sad.
Farm Fresh eggs. Now, there's something I will happily partake of in the Back Country. Nothing like it. Glad to have it. Found one in the same town. I'm all kinds of excited about that. Just another example of simple entertainment of the city folks I suppose.
Okay. Back to packing. Wish me luck.
